Now with the brushes out of the way, David set up basic design principles for our storyboarders to follow while they create the storyboards. This meant creating a template for the storyboards.
David’s tutorials on creating character brushes in GIMP continues. Both tutorials have examples of PH2PC characters.
In order to gain efficiencies in our storyboard processing we decided to create character brushes in Gimp. Here is the first tutorial done by David Purchase on how to create these brushes.

One of the first things after the euphoria of the success at siggraph to ebb, was the realization that we have a huge task a head of us. Developing a good project plan as we did for the preview is the first thing we needed to do.
Based on classical Indian dance premise that all we need are 9 emotions that a character needs to express themselves, David Purchase started our journey in creating a mood sheet for our characters.
The 15 second preview to PH2PC was very well received at Siggraph 2009. The general concensus was marvel at what we were able to accomplish in 3 weeks.
This amazing team pulled it off. We had the Prince Harming to Prince Charming teaser done in 3 weeks.
